Geez! Can't a girl just get a good night's sleep?!?
Last night from about 3:00-4:30 we have severe thunderstorms move through the area. It was loud and active enough to wake and keep me up on and off for the duration. I did go back to sleep once it'd passed but when the alarm went off at 6:25 I went through every possible scenario of calling in sick/late for the day. I even reset my alarm for 7, thinking I'd just sleep late and be late to work. Once my guilty conscious finally got the better of me, I got up. (That was about 6:45) I was only able to walk Jax up and down one side of the block, as toward the end, the wind and rain were getting really strong and even he didn't want to go much further.
Since I had a shorter walk, I ended up actually getting to work on time even after sleeping/dozing for an extra 20 minutes.
My outfit today stemmed from me not wanting to wear a dress because I knew my office would be cold this morning. I just threw on some easy pants and shoes and went with it.
My outfit today:
Khaki's: Victoria's Secret, $34
Top: Banana outlet, $19
Necklace: Ann Taylor Factory Store, $14
Shoes: City Classified, Burlington, $14 (so cute for $14 bucks!)

Hump Day! (I love a short week)
I stayed up last night to watch the Men's Basketball Championship game, which meant a bedtime around 11 pm. I am not overwhelmingly tired today, just groggy. I think it might end up being a 2 Coke day today!
I was bad yesterday and did not workout; I just wasn't feeling it; it was rainy and cool out and I decided that I didn't need to force myself to do it. When I force it, I resent it. So, I decided that I would make a decision not to work out yesterday and today, I'm looking forward to getting home and doing a Turbo workout!
I like today's outfit (dress) because it can't get any easier than this. This dress is super comfortable and cute. It's just a smidge short, but I wore flats so I think it's fine for the office. If I was wearing it elsewhere, I'd probably put a belt over its elastic waistband, but I found that in doing that, it became even shorter, so the belt option was out for work. This dress was a lucky find last summer. Found them on a trip to Old Navy, in the clearance section. $12. I got this army green color and a black one too.
Dress: Old Navy, $12
Bracelet: Charming Charlie, $13
Earrings: Charming Charlie, $7

Great Weekend, Short Week!
Enjoyed a very nice weekend with Mom and Gare, after a very long and miserable Friday that involved staying at work until 5:45. Not cute.
This weekend we went to the LSU Spring Game and a baseball game Saturday night. Very nice times. I forgot my camera in my office so Mom took the pictures.
I'm hoping this week moves quickly... I will be booked solid each day but at least that will help the days move along. Friday is a holiday and Mom and Dad (yes, you are!) are coming down on Thursday! :) J will be so happy!!
My outfit today:
Dress: "Nice Wear" some random brand I think I picked up at Burlington some time ago. About $15
Shoes: Nine West, via Marshalls, $30

Long Thursday
Today is my 8-8 day. I'll run home about 2:30 to walk Jackson and then I don't anticipate getting home until 8:30 or so. Bleck.
Because part of the afternoon we are having to direct the set-up of the facility for tomorrow's events, I am dressed way down. I'll change before the panel event tonight. If I have time, I'll snap a picture.
My outfit today:
Nike Warm-Up & Shoes: c/o Football
Best thing about this? I've had it since the 2008 National Championship Game, and have yet to wear it because the pants had always been too tight. Decided to give it a shot yesterday and they fit! They are still just a bit snug at the top of the thighs but they are on!!
I HATE cropped pants with tennis shoes on me, but it was out of necessity today.

Middle of a long week
This morning I have 10 student appointments, this afternoon, 9. Tomorrow is my long day and Friday is go go go with Spring testing. Needless to say I will be hitting the caffeine pretty hard.
Yesterday, I forgot to mention the cool night sky Monday night. I'd heard (or read) that Monday night was a great chance to view the crescent moon, Venus and Jupiter all very close to each other and sure enough, they were very visible. It was really neat as the two planets were so much brighter than the other stars in the sky. What was even greater was as I was standing in the driveway looking at the planets and other stars, I saw a shooting star! So fun!
Workout wise, I heeded the sage advice from Peete about not over-doing a workout with my very sore legs. What I decided to do was to walk it off. What I never seem to remember is walking isn't easy!! When you really walk for fitness, a quick pace, etc... it's a workout! I'm sure that my legs already being sore didn't help me much. I walked J around the block once, which is about .7 of a mile. Then, I did the longer loop, .9 of a mile twice by myself. I was sweating by the time I got in but I didn't feel like I'd overdone it. I'm hoping it helped. I am a lot less sore in my quads this morning, but more sore in my hips/butt area. If it ain't one thing.... :)
My outfit today:
Pants: White Black, $19.99
Top: Bella Bella, $12
Shoes: Kenneth Cole, $29
