TGIW.... and a short week. I'm just ready to head to Jackson to do a quick show with Mom. And ready to get out of this office!!!
Yesterday I did the Physique 57 video and as usual, it kicked my booty. At least today I'm not super sore. However, I'm sure whatever workout I end up doing tonight won't be a ton of fun.
My outfit today started as a different dress; however, when I put it on this morning (haven't worn it yet) I realized it was a bit tighter than I realized it would be... quite form fitting and frankly I'm not in a form-fitting mood.
So, I swapped it out for this dress which is quite a bit looser and more comfortable. Comfort seems to be a trend lately! The little pop of orange-red with the tank matched the other dress, but I decided to leave it on for a pop of color with this one, plus it matches my toes! :)
Dress: NY& Co, Clearance Online, $9.99
Sweater: Daisy Fuentes via Kohls Clearance, $8.99
Shoes: Nine West via Marshalls, $29.00
This is my chronicle of what I am able to do with just the things I already own. I am attempting to create real world, professional, but fun, outfits using what I already own; basically shopping in my own closet.

The Thunder Rolls....
We have had several storms in the last 12 hours. In fact, I fell asleep last night listening to the sound of a gentle rain. Quite nice. Today it's supposed to "rain a lot". That is how the weatherman described it while giving his forecast this morning. I thought that was pretty funny.
I'm playing with a bunch of metallics today.... So many that they all "go" even though they are all different. My shoes are a very Pink-silver metallic, the pink is brought out in the pink stones in my ring; the bracelet has a tan, green and brown stone in it. The brown stone matches my brown watch. The green stone in the bracelet goes with the green trim at the bottom of my shirt and the tan stone matches the tan in my shirt and the tan bead on my earring. It's a hodgepodge that kinda makes sense!
My outfit today:
Top: Nicole Miller, JC Penny, $18
Pants: IN Studio, Dillards, $8
Shoes: Arturo Chiang, Dillards, Prob about $35
Jewelry:
Gold ring with pink-ish stones, Forever 21, $3
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Banana Republic, $12
Earrings: Can't Remember
This shot is not very flattering, but you get a better sense of the colors...
Head tilt shot for Dad... :)

Hot Pink and Print!
This past weekend involved housework, yard work and baby bird drama, but to my knowledge, all parties survived...at least as of yesterday afternoon.
I have several mosquito bites and a few branch scratches. The baby cardinal that I accidentally knocked out of its nest and managed to get back in using a leaf and a piece of cardboard was doing okay (as far as I could tell) yesterday. I'll have to take a picture of him the next time I think about it.
This is Jackson napping in the sun Saturday. It's the first time I caught him on Roxanne's old bed.
I was feeling as though I might need something bright today and I was pretty much right. I found this linen blazer at Charlotte Russe, for $32. Typically I would not pay that "much" for something there, but I really thought it had potential. I also found the necklace there the same day. Since the two pinks (jacket and stones) were matched just perfect, I couldn't resist. It also helped that the necklace was $5!
My outfit today:
Capri's: Pantology, via TJ Maxx, $16
Shirt: NY & Co, very old
Jacket: Charlotte Russe, $32
Necklace: Charlotte Russe: $5
Shoes: Alfani, via Macys (forever ago) $39
