So... about yesterday... I came to work, stayed for about 2 hours and then left with sinus issues. So no pictures from yesterday... not that the outfit I was wearing was particularly stellar. It was Khaki pants and a blue-ish grey Banana Republic t-shirt. Nothing to write home (or blog) about! Today's outfit is more non-stellar; I'm going with our casual Friday rule and wearing jeans and an LSU polo shirt. I was kind of scattered this morning, didn't even put on my earrings or watch! And I rarely forget those items. I guess I'm just ready to get through the day and enjoy the weekend. Big game tomorrow. :) I'll take lots of pictures!
Aren't these shoes just fab? Hee hee... kidding....
This is my chronicle of what I am able to do with just the things I already own. I am attempting to create real world, professional, but fun, outfits using what I already own; basically shopping in my own closet.

Hello Sinuses!
So along with this lovely weather change has come my bi-yearly sinus attack. I woke up this morning and my sinuses are definitely on the fritz! There may be a steroid shot in my near future....
Anywho, I decided to try out my straight-leg pants that I got from Pennys right when this adventure started. I mention them here. Well, initially I was going to wear them with some heels but since on top of everything else, I think I slept funny on my hip and subsequently can't seem to walk without some annoying achiness, I switched to flats. The pants are the right length for heels but they are too long for flats, so I simply cuffed them under so that they are ankle length. Pretty decent, if I do say so myself! Also, I'm not nearly as oopma-loompa looking as I anticipated wearing these pants with flats! Yay!
This blazer is fan-tas-tic. Seriously. It is French Connection. Found it on Yoox.com over the summer; It was a $280 blazer, great weight, fully lined (in purple no less!) and it fits fabulously... def paid 32.00 (free shipping) for it. Yes, 32. Ah-maz-ing! The shirt I've had in my closet for approx 3 years. Pulled the tag off today. :( $19.50, clearance at Dillards. Super pumped about the whole thing! (I guess maybe except the fact that these are the only pointy-toe plain black flats that I have, so they had to do, but I don't love that they have silver studs and the rest of my jewelry is gold.)
Blazer: French Connection, Yoox.com (32)
Shirt: Not sure what brand, Dillards (19.50)
Pants: Worthington, JC Penny (14)
Shoes: Steve Madden Luxe, DSW (24)
Necklace: Not sure
Cuff: Charlotte Russe (5)
Watch: Croton
Took this picture just to get an "unposed" look at these pants.
Seriously, I'm getting restalyn or something injected under my eyes. That is ridic!
Cuff... and notice the purple lining of the rolled up sleeve. Too cute!
Silver studs, eh..... See my semi-straight cuff-under job? :)

The Terrible Twos(-days)....
Hahaha! Get it? Terrible Tuesdays? Not that today is particularly terrible, it's just the day that I think makes the week feel the longest. I usually have catching-up to do of some sort on Mondays, so they seem to move by fairly quickly. Wednesdays signal the downward slope of the rest of the week, Thursday the weekend plans start rounding out, giving me things to look forward to and Fridays are, well, Fridays! Poor Tuesday is just that day kinda crammed in there. Seems like at my job Tuesdays are fairly slow, too. It's almost like no one wants to get anything done on Tuesdays! (Or maybe that's just me....) Not to mention the fact that today is always the hardest for me in terms of getting up in the morning. It's almost like Tuesday is when sleeping in on the weekend finally catches up to me.
Regardless, I did my best to wear something cute to keep me going today... again, I laid this outfit out without trying it on.... had I not been running so late (Jackson's fault... he wanted so bad to play this morning so I had to indulge him a little) I probably would have changed this up a little, but time did not permit so I just went with it. What I'm not sure about.... 1. this skirt is very much an A-line skirt, which I'm thinking does not look quite right with this jacket because when combined with 2. the jacket's peplum hem, I'm thinking the ensemble may not be all that flattering. Regardless, I'm going with it for now and will make a mental note that the next time I wear this jacket, it needs to be with pants. I do really like this Banana Republic shirt that I picked up at the outlet. It's got a really nice sheen to it and I love the color.
Skirt: Random store in Athens, TX $9
Shirt: Banana Factory Store, $12
Jacket: NY & Co, Clearance, $20
Shoes: Max Studio
Necklace & Earrings Set: Love Culture, $10
Bracelets: Loft, Clearance $5
Watch: Croton
It looks like I changed shirts! The Close-up of the necklace shot is more accurate as to the actual color of the shirt.

Ready for a long post? :)
So, I'm going to encompass my weekend along with my Monday post for the sake of efficiency. This weekend was the Kentucky game, which was at 11:20. I can't remember the last time we played that early and I hope we don't again any time soon! I did not anticipate traffic flow correctly and Amanda and I ended up parking at 11:05. Oops! We dressed casual for the game and the weather started very fall-like in the morning but warmed up quickly (hence my mistake wearing suede boots!!!) Oh well, what can you do?
Can you see my cute Tiger-stripe cuff?
Kickoff!
I ran errands Saturday afternoon, which was a nice change from the usual entire Saturday being taken up by football! Sunday, I took Jackson to the park I've mentioned before. What a nice place!! I was very pleasantly surprised and Jackson had a great time! Lots of walking paths and a small dog park. I'm really happy we went and we'll try to go as often as we can now.
Jackson and "Sprinkles" (no kidding) his new Schnauzer friend... notice J is doing his patented "leg kick"
And this is J when we got back while I was doing laundry.....
And J when I was putting the laundry away....
The rest of Sunday was spent napping and doing chores around the house. I got the pictures on the shoe boxes I missed during the big project and got a bunch of laundry done and put away. I also finally did some "craft-work" on a jacket I bought in August at Love Culture in the mall. It had an ugly fake hoodie sewn into the collar and I decided it would look much better without the hood... Red is so big for the fall and I like the look of a clean jacket and for 30 bucks, I wasn't going to let a stupid hood stand in my way!
With the stupid hoodie....
And without... so much better :)
I'm loving that it is finally getting a little cooler so I can start wearing more jackets at work. Didn't plan one for today but will have at least 2 outfits this week with jackets I haven't worn yet. I decided to go for comfort on this Monday-day. This dress is comfy and cute! It looks like a crazy busy pattern in the first pictures, but you can see it's not all that loud in the closer-up picture. I have these earrings that ended up being perfect for this dress. Have had them for a while now and this is the first time I've worn them.
Dress: Bobbie Bee (???) From JC Penny...9.99 on sale
Earrings: Can't remember
Watch: MK
Shoes: Nine West
