Finally Friday. After a semi-busy week, I'm looking forward to the weekend, not that that isn't always the case!
I thought I was going to skip my workout yesterday or do something light but I decided to stick to my original plan and get one done. I did Fire 45 EZ and it was a struggle. I told myself all I had to do was just start it and keep moving, going through the motions with about 50% effort. Even at that, I struggled early but as I went I gained some energy and was probably at about 75% effort to round it out. It wasn't until the 14:45 mark (about 30 minutes into it) that I actually felt like I had some energy and my body seemed to "kick-in." I was sweating, tired and beat after the workout but in general, happy I forced myself to get it done. Now, I'll be able to do a lighter workout today, or even skip today and do a longer workout Saturday and I won't be off track! Yay!
Today is just a Friday. No pictures, as the outfit is Friday-ish. Jeans, flats and a white V-neck sweater.
Looking forward to a nice weekend!
This is my chronicle of what I am able to do with just the things I already own. I am attempting to create real world, professional, but fun, outfits using what I already own; basically shopping in my own closet.

Thursday
Today's been semi-busy, hence the late post. I am anxiously awaiting hearing back from Mom about how the attempt at riding/showing the Krame went today at their first show. Nothing much else to report. I'm fighting a bit of sore knee syndrome so I'm debating which workout to do today when I get home. Boot camp started strong.... it's ending a tad weak! :(
My outfit today:
Pants: Kenneth Cole, getting a ton of use out of these! Xmas gift, $28
Top: JC Penny Clearance, 14.40 (pulled tag off this am)
Shoes: Nine West, don't remember where I got them. Guessing DSW and I prob paid about $30 for them
Why do the cutest pictures always end up being the blurry ones?!?

Hump Day of Boot Camp Week!
Today is just one of those days. First and foremost, right now, it is darker outside than it was when I walked Jackson this morning. We are under tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warnings. It's going to be a super nasty day.
Yesterday I did manage to do Fire 30 and HIIT 20. It was pretty intense, but I made it through. By the last interval in the HIIT video I was having to really focus on keeping my form correct and doing the movements correctly so I didn't end up flailing about and hurting myself. I feel good today. I am however, possibly going to have to modify my boot camp schedule. I committed myself to going to one of Amanda's events at Camelot tonight at 7 and I wanted to do the 60 minute Physique video. However, considering I won't be finished walking J until about 5:20 and the video would take me until 6:30 and downtown is a 20 minute drive, I'm thinking I may have to adjust the schedule and take today off instead of Saturday. That should be do-able.
Today's outfit was very much influenced by the weather. I knew I wouldn't be leaving the office at lunch for any reason because the storms would still be hanging out. So, again, I turned to a super comfy dress. I don't think I've worn this dress since I started the blog (still attempting to not repeat any outfits for a year) and I've surely never worn it with these shoes. Flats just sounded amazing today and while I'm all for a metallic, I don't necessarily think they look the best with this dress, but I liked them more than my closed-toe black shoe options. The sweater was out of necessity, as this dress is basically a tank dress.
Dress: Max Studio, via Marshall's, $24
Cardigan: Daisy Fuentes, via Kohl's, $12
Shoes: Madeline, via Burlington, $12
Bargain shopping outfit to the max today! :)

Day 2 of my 5 day self-imposed boot camp!
The report from yesterday goes something like this: Yeaouza! (Or whatever noise you feel like inserting there that means something related to Yikes!)
I definitely wanted to start the week off with a bang. I find that I have much more energy for workouts earlier in the week, so I am trying to make use of that energy, so I can taper off a little as the week progresses. Yesterday I knew I wanted to do the Fire 45 video. I "enjoy" that one and am usually pretty spent by the end of it. But, I challenged myself to up the ante a bit and add on the Physique 57's 30 minute arms & abs video after I finished the cardio. I knew it was "do-able" since my legs weren't involved in the second piece and they are usually what's the most exhausted after cardio. The arms portion of the video is good, I only hit the point of fatigue once. The abs portion is a whole other animal. It is hard core. Even doing the "modified" version, I had to stop several moves short of the total number of reps the girls did. But, I stuck with it and did as much as I could.
After the workout, I was quite exhausted but still feeling good. I've found over the past week that I seem to not feel as tired so maybe, just maybe, that theory about exercise giving you energy is actually starting to kick in! (Unless it's immediately after a hard cardio workout, lol, because then all I am doing is passing out on the couch!!)
The goal for today (after my dentist appt- yuck!) is to do Fire 30 and probably HIIT 20.
My outfit today:
Super comfy, may as well be a moo-moo, dress! It's a ponte cotton material and I just think it's great because it really is a throw-on and go kinda dress. I decided to put this little belt around it to break it up a little. I also have a yellow cardigan to throw on when I get cold. It plays nicely off the turquoise necklace. :)
Dress: The Limited, Clearance $18 (Yep!!)
Belt: Charlotte Russe, $5 for 3
Shoes: Kenneth Cole Outlet, $24
Necklace: Gift from Maj
Good lord.... I hate how my pictures are so bad! the camera is set up about at waist level, which is obvious from the way every picture makes me look like a giant but also horribly disproportionate. Ugh. I'd probably have to take 15 pictures every morning to get 3 good ones!

Even Gucci can't help a Monday....
Well, that's not entirely true... every time I look down at my feet today I do smile, so I suppose that does help. I spent some time on Sunday going through my pants (even though I weeded through a lot last fall) just to make sure everything I was hanging on to was really worth the space it was taking up.
This was fueled by the fact that I did go to the Ann Taylor outlet this weekend. I went because the last time I went I found the grey pants I wore last Thursday which fit absolutely divine and look just as good. (If I do say so myself!) When I received the email advertising that Ann Taylor was taking an additional 40% off the entire store, I figured going to see if there were any more of that style of pant available couldn't hurt. Sure enough, I found one black pair of almost the exact same pant. The fit is the same, the material is just a little lighter weight. I was happy, as after the 40% off, they were $18. Fine by me! So since I did get another pair of pants, I decided I should make sure the ones I was hanging on to were worth keeping.
I ended up giving away 4 more pair and pulling 6 pair that I will keep (and hopefully store away for ever) as they are too big now :)
Today's outfit was a result of the weeding.... I realized I haven't worn these pants in quite some time and they are very comfortable. So, I paired them with this top, which I've had since this past summer, but not yet worn. (Pulled tag off this morning) And the best part of the outfit? The shoes, without a doubt. I decided I'm tired of letting some of my very nice shoes just sit in boxes. While, of course, no one in my office notices, I get the enjoyment of knowing my shoes are the best in the room! :) I'm very happy to finally wear these babies. Sadly, I've had them for almost 10 months and this is the first time I've worn them.
A mini-goal I'm setting for myself this week is to workout every day. Last week, I did every day except Wed, which I basically had to take off because of soreness. This week I want to get 5 solid workouts in. Today will be Fire 45 plus anything else I can muster up the energy to do! Hopefully either a HIIT or the Arms/Abs bonus video.
My outfit today:
Pants: BCBG, via Sharon's (a store in Hot Springs, AR) I think I paid $40 for them on clearance
Top: JC Penny, $16
Shoes: Gucci, $ ;)

Thursday/Friday
It's a good thing when you're distracted enough to not be able to do your regular morning posts. Especially when the weeks have been so slow. I didn't have time to post yesterday, so today's post is a Thursday/Friday post.
Wednesday I took a break from working out because I was very sore. Thursday I jumped back in and did Fire 45EZ, which in no shape or form is EZ...... Since I still had some residual soreness in my legs, I figured the workout wouldn't be easy. What I didn't count on was my legs fatiguing as quickly as they did. I had to take 3 or 4 breaks during the workout to catch my breath and be able to continue. The result of the workout was me falling asleep on the couch by 8! I thought exercise was supposed to give you energy!! Haha not this workout!
My outfit today (Friday) is the Friday uniform. Jeans, Science polo and tennis shoes. Nothing to be excited about.
My outfit Thursday:
Pants: Ann Taylor Factory Store, $20 (LOVE THESE!!)
Sweater: Mossimo for Target, $12
Shirt: Worthington, Pennys, $14
Necklace: Ann Taylor Sale, don't remember what I paid
Shoes: Nine West, had for several years, $48
