It's Tuesday. A little disappointed that I didn't hear from anyone last night on the career front, but telling myself it is just coincidental and I'll hear something soon. It should be a relatively quiet day today. Looking forward to getting a good workout in this evening. I did the age-old battle with myself this morning, thinking I was going to get up at 5:30 and workout.... set the alarm and everything. Had hourly pep talks with myself since I woke up every hour to check the clock. 5:30 rolls around and it goes something like this:
Music starts playing (well, a ringtone actually) I roll over and J picks his head up and sighs. (He doesn't get up, which he normally does at 6:30) I pretty much do the same and even though I'm awake, I convince myself that the logistics of me attempting to do a TurboFire workout after just getting up is probably a recipe for disaster. So, I re-set the alarm and roll back over. J stretches, sighs again, and goes right back to sleep. Gotta love that little guy.
So, I'll be working out this evening after work and for the time being, giving up on the hope of getting the workouts done early. For right now, it's just not going to happen!
Hopefully my work day will be somewhat quiet.
My outfit today:
Pants: White/Black, $30 they are a little big, but oh well
Top: Kohls Clearance, $8
Shoes: Kenneth Cole Outlet, $30
All of the full-length shots were blurry (ugh) so we have minimal photos today :)
This is my chronicle of what I am able to do with just the things I already own. I am attempting to create real world, professional, but fun, outfits using what I already own; basically shopping in my own closet.

Good Weekend, nice start to Monday
Had a good time at SPAMALOT.... it was definitely different from what we saw on Broadway but still good. I enjoy the theater experience regardless. Got a bunch done around the house yesterday and all in all had a decent weekend! Today started out with the receipt of a nice email. Even if it doesn't pan out, it's nice to know my name is being thought of by people who are giving recommendations! We'll see!
My outfit today is a result of me realllllllly wanting to wear this blazer that I got yesterday. You know I love something if I am wearing it less than 24 hours after I bought it! I had a 30% off Kohl's coupon and I knew with some of the recent sales they'd run that I would probably find something decent for pretty cheap. Well, I scored with this blazer. It's Lauren Conrad and it is ponte knit grey fabric, fully lined so you can roll the sleeves and get a nice contrast color. It's on the website here. It was half off yesterday (35) plus I had the 30% off coupon, so it ended up costing me 24.50. Can't beat that with a stick!
I decided I'd wear the pants Mom and Dad got me for Christmas because the weather is weird and I didn't feel like wearing long pants. I'm also wearing one of the tops I found after Christmas at NY & Co for $10 on super sale. I like the outfit a lot.
Pants: Kenneth Cole Outlet, $19 (gift)
Top: NY & CO, $10
Jacket: Kohl's, $24.50
Shoes: Cole Haan, $ :)
A picture from Friday night. Amanda looks evil but it's the only picture I had of my dress! Cute dress I found in the French Quarter when Gare and I were there.
This one is a little blurry but you can see a sparkle on my shirt!
Trying to get a close-up so you can see the grey and black in the tank, which really brings the outfit together!
Cole Haan "Air" anything and I'm sold!

SPAMALOT!
So excited about the show tonight. Not excited however about having to rush home, walk Jax, shower, get ready, get dressed and be back downtown by 6:45.... basically I'll have an hour and about 25 minutes to get all of that done. Sheesh! Anyway, tonight should be super fun.
My outfit today stemmed from well, the black top. I'd envisioned it with my mauve skinny jeans but they seemed too "skinny" for work when I put them on this morning so I went with these jeans instead, which meant I needed different shoes and when I decided on these leopard pumps I thought bright red would be nice. This is the jacket I found and cut the hood off of earlier this fall. And thus, you have my outfit!
Pants: Kenneth Cole, Outlet, $24
Top: Pennys, $10
Jacket: Love Culture, $30
Shoes: Target, $24
My face looks super puffy today. Wonder if I've been eating too much salt.....
Just thought the perspective of the different colors up close might help.
So cute! (the shoes, not my close-up haha!)

Catching a Quiet Moment
Before the storm hits.... (storm of students, that is)
Figured I should go ahead and post now while I can. It is quite chilly this morning, so I felt a little silly putting this dress on as really it is more of a Spring/Summer dress, but it is going to be 70 degrees this afternoon so I figured it was okay. I'm just happy they haven't turned the heat off in the building yet because I'd be freezing!
I'm starting to really look forward to the weekend... Mostly because it's been such a busy week, but also because Friday I'm going to see SPAMALOT!!! So excited. If it is half as good as the show we saw on Broadway, I'll be happy. I'm also going to attempt to possibly go to a Yoglates class Saturday or Sunday. (Could that statement be any more non-committal?) Other than that I'm going to do a little more cleaning around the house and just enjoy the nice weather.
I suppose I should get through Friday first! :)
My outfit today:
Dress: I think this came from TJ Maxx. I can't remember and I don't recognize the brand. I'd bet I paid about $15 for it.
Shoes: Love!! One of the pairs from my after Christmas Burlington haul. $10 yep, $10!!!
Sweater: JC Penny, East 5th, $15-20 (Can't remember)
Just thought I'd take a close up of the dress. The pattern isn't as overwhelming as it appears in the first picture!
I really like these little guys. The Shreveport Burlington is a shoe-gem, I tell ya!

Late Post- Busy Day
Here's my outfit for today: I'm too exhausted to even make comments :)
Pants: VERRRRRRY old, from American Eagle
Top: Washington DC H&M, $20
Sweater: Old Navy Clearance, $6
Necklace: Big Lots, $5
Shoes: JC Penny, $20
This outfit equaled comfort for me and I knew today was going to be hectic so I felt it appropriate.

Why isn't every weekend a 3 day weekend? / Happy Birthday Faj!
I love 3 day weekends. Mostly because they are associated with 4 day work weeks! I really enjoyed my extra day off yesterday. Jax and I went to the park and enjoyed some semi-sunshine and I got a lot done around the house (laundry and putting stuff away) I could've done more but alas, I did about all I could stand!
Today is the first day of the semester so work is a little hectic, hence the super short post....
My outfit today:
Skirt: Random Brand, TJ Maxx, $15
Top: New York and Company (it's a 2-in-1 shirt) Clearance, $12.99
Shoes: Bandolino. Have had for so long, I can't even remember where I got them. :)
Oh! Forgot I took a picture of my outfit from Saturday night! It was super cute! My cheapie Dickies jeggings, Cole Haan boots, Kohl's top and faux-leather jacket from Charlotte Russe (last year)... minus the boots, the whole outfit cost about 50 bucks. (I used a gift card for the jacket, which paid for most of it!) Yay!
