Chillaxing Weekend

This weekend was all about errands and not having much to do. It was great. I spent a lot of time with J-Bird and did a little running around. I did however cheat a tiny bit and I bought a very cute dress for my Atl trip in early December. I couldn't help myself, I saw it at Forever 21 and it just looks like a super expensive dress that will be amazing with tights and it was only 25 bucks. Other than that cheating, I am very proud of myself because I walked all through the mall and didn't get anything else, just window shopped! I even went in DSW and came out empty handed! Go me! Some Saturday lazy J pictures...

Chillin, it's his thing....
 Playing, it's his other thing...

 Happy Boy!

Sunday Jax and I went to the park on Perkins. It is just a pedestrian park so we just walked the path and mostly let J smell some new smells. He loved it, of course. :) Here are some pictures!

He says "Come on! Let's go... I don't want to pose right now!"
Smelling a tree aka guess what happens next.

Deciding which way he wanted to go...

Maybe that way....
 Lake rest stop
 Handsome boy!

Stopped to watch all of the kids skateboarding and riding bikes.

Hmmmmm... It's Friday

Couldn't think of anything catchy for the title for today... It was a rainy morning. I had to carry an umbrella on J's walk this morning; I didn't put his rain coat on because when we started, it was merely sprinkling. 3/4 of the way down the street it was full blown raining. Jax did his business then started trotting right next to my leg which translates to "Get me out of this." So, we cut our walk short and headed back to the house. Once inside, Jax got a nice blowdry, which made him feel much better. It's supposed to be a little overcast all day and I'm hoping that bodes for fewer appointments at work today. I am really looking forward to my "down" weekend. No games, no visitors, just me, my errands and some good ole J time!
Of course, it being a rainy Friday, my outfit is very casual. I pulled these shoes out of my closet (haven't worn them before). They were given to me when I got this jacket and I'd forgotten that they match the color of the jacket exactly! So cute!

Jeans: Citizens of Humanity
Shirt: Can't see it, but it's a CoS polo
Jacket, Nike, c/o LSU Football
Shoes: Nike, c/o LSU Football

Thin Thursday

I love pulling clothes on in the morning and realizing that they fit so much better/more comfortably than the last time I wore them! Best feeling ever! Yesterday was my workout day off, I'll get back to it today with one of my 45 minutes cardio routines. Inevitably, those kick my butt but they are such good workouts.
I'm very ready for the weekend. I feel like I have a list of chores that is mounting by the minute. So many things I've been putting off the past several weekends with games and being out of town. My Saturday morning will be quite busy running around town and the afternoon and probably the better part of Sunday will be spent doing housework that is long overdue. Yes, I'm a day ahead in my weekend planning, but I feel there is so much to do that I really need a plan of attack!
My outfit today is pretty simple, but has it's fun aspects. Mostly, the shoes. I'd pretty much forgotten about these guys until I did the big shoe project. They'd sort of been pushed back on the 'shoes without boxes' rack (b/c I picked them up at TJ Maxx several years ago) and when I saw them I was excited b/c they are leopard which is so huge this fall. So, I'm finally getting around to wearing them. The shirt I bought at Banana during a "Extra 50% off Clearance" sale and at the time, it was a little snug.... it's not snug at all now! :)

My outfit:

Pants: AB Studio, JC Penny, Clearance, $8
Shirt: Banana, Clearance, $ 12
Shoes: Guess, TJ Maxx, $20
Watch: MK
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe, $4
Earrings: Forever 21, $3
Necklace: Gift from Maj

Wednesday

Well, let's see..it's Wednesday. It's 2 days away from the weekend. It's my exercise day off. It's pretty out. What can I complain about? (Other than my job, but that's pretty much a constant.) Oh, I know. I can complain about the fact that I did my first dedicated abs workout last night and I'm feeling it today. The workout focused on the entire core and you know where I'm the most sore? My lower back. Go figure (I say sarcastically) My lower back is so weak. Every time I woke up last night I had to un-freeze my back and try to shift positions. I don't have any pain at all, it is just the weirdest feeling, almost like it just locks up on me when I'm not moving. This has been going on for awhile now, I'm hoping if I can ramp up the core workouts maybe I will strengthen it enough to keep it from tying up so much. (The back doc did say that I should focus on building my core strength....maybe I should've started sooner!) Regardless, I'm feeling good now. Just going to try to stretch occasionally throughout the day today.

Today I'm wearing a comfy Sunday-school dress mostly because I just wasn't feeling the outfit prep last night. I was going to wear some bronze heels with this but I decided I would just go comfy all around so I went with flats. Hence the over-all pentecostal feel of this outfit. :) The cardi is for function, not awesome-ness....

I'm wearing:
Cardigan: Banana Republic Outlet, $10
Dress: JC Penny Clearance, $ 8.99 (pulled tag off today)
Shoes: My go-to beat up favorite Candies bronze flats (had forever)
Watch: MK
Necklace: White House, Black Market

Packed Tuesday

Work today is crazy hectic, and will stay that way until about the 2nd week in November, as it is peak scheduling time. However, I am living in my bubble and trying to just exist, as I pray my meeting with the Gov's office in a few weeks pays off and I can change my lot in life! Don't have a ton of time to post.
I did get a workout in yesterday and even with blister foot, it was a good one. Always good to get back on the wagon. In fact, my blister is doing quite well and I even wore (comfy) heels today. I just put some gauze and tape over it so that it wasn't directly in contact with the shoe.
My outfit is a tad sassy today but I kinda needed that!

Shirt: NY & Co, Clearance, $10 (Pulled tag off today)
Skirt: Charlotte Russe, Clearance, $5   Yep, 5! It's a nice heavy denim skirt, too!
Shoes: Sofft, Boutique in Vegas
Watch: MK
Bracelets, Earrings & Necklace: Banana Republic
Crazy hair: All mine :)

Monday Monday

Well, let's see. It's a Monday, I have a blister the size of Rhode Island on the bottom of my foot, (yes, the bottom, specifically on the ball of my foot) and I would so much rather be in bed I can not even put it into words! I suppose, as I told Mom yesterday, I'll just do my best to exist in my little bubble and chill. My outfit is a result of needing to wear flats (see: blister; huge) and basically wanting to be comfortable. This cardigan really doesn't match the skirt in color but the top is sleeveless and my office is freezing and this was about as good as it was going to get this morning! Fashion is important but not enough to freak out over and be late to work for! :)
I have not worked out enough over the past week, nor was I careful about my diet, so I'm using this week and next as a mini-boot camp session to get my progress moving back in the right direction. (Especially with the holidays quickly approaching because there will be Brie en Crote and Cheese Grits galore!)

My outfit today:

Skirt: Banana (old)
Shirt: Antonio Melanie, Dillards
Cardigan: Izod
Shoes: Steve Madden
Watch: MK

Notice my poor wrapped foot.... :(
