Getting ready for a super fun weekend with friends and the Gare, as we head to Nola for the National Championship on Monday. We are going to the Saints game Saturday night just for something to do. Lol it's a playoff game, whatev. ;) Mostly, we will be wandering the French Quarter and hanging out until Monday night when hopefully we can cap off the greatest season in history! I'll be sure to take a bunch of pictures!!
Geaux Tigers!!
My outfit today centered around wanting to wear my new driver moc's.... remember my "Wish List" photo of the Sam Edelman flats that I really wanted? Well, just before Christmas I found these, and they are the mass-market version of Sam Edelman, which is the Libby Edelman brand. I really like them and they were a steal on Endless for about 36 bucks. They are super comfy and as far as I am concerned, super cute!! So I wanted to wear something sorta cute with them.
I love this cardigan and had forgotten all about it until my sweater re-organization earlier this fall. My main problem now is that the 2 pair of jeans that I can wear with flats are these (which I have to roll bc the leg is too stretched out at the top and then narrows too much to look right) and a pair that is entirely too big now. So, I need a pair of jeans that are a straight-leg and can be worn with flats. More than likely, this will mean getting some hemmed by a tailor.
My outfit today:
Jeans: JC Penny, $16
Top: Banana, Clearance, around $14
Sweater: Banana, $ not sure, I'd guess 15-20
Shoes: Libby Edelman, Endless, $36 Here They were cheaper when I found them! Yay!
I'm going to have to figure out the lighting situation. All of my outfits from a distance look solid black! :(
This is my chronicle of what I am able to do with just the things I already own. I am attempting to create real world, professional, but fun, outfits using what I already own; basically shopping in my own closet.

Thursday... and Friday can't come soon enough!
There must be a full moon this week because everyone in my office is bat-shit crazy. Oh, wait, there doesn't have to be a full-moon for that to be the case.... trying to just let it go. Had a nice chat with Grandma yesterday about focusing on the positive (even if there isn't any at work, there is plenty outside of work) So, that's what I'm doing. Right now, I'm focusing on the weekend! Yay!
My outfit today:
Sweater: NY&Co, Christmas Gift at an after-Christmas sale, $15
Pants: White/Black, pulled tag off today, probably bought 4 years ago, $19
Shoes: Anne Michelle, Cheapie brand from Burlington found over the break, $15 LOVE THEM!!

You know how you have those days....
Where things are coasting along and then you have to sit through an hour and a half meeting of the half-minds and you realize you are miserable no matter what smile you put on?
Yep, one of those days.
No, parents, I haven't quit yet.
My outfit today:
Dress: Forever 21, $22
Coat: Wilson's Leather, had it forever, no clue what I paid but I know I got a good deal
Boots: Nine West, also had forever
Necklace: Charlotte Russe Clearance, $6
Watch: MK, my newest baby!

I'm baaaaaaack!
I'm going to have to do a separate post for Christmas festivities (and to confess to my day-after-Christmas shopping, Dad) ;) So, today's post will just be for today. I'm getting back into the work routine and of all mornings to be slapped with that experience, it was also in the 20s when J and I went on our walk this morning. We both were bundled up and stayed mostly warm, but I'm quite sure both of us would've rather stayed in bed!! The weather is supposed to warm back up for the weekend (Nola for the Nat'l Championship game) so as long as the rain stays away, we should be in good shape!
I was not excited about braving the scale this morning, fully intending to see a 2-3 lb gain after the holiday, but to my surprise, it hadn't budged!! There must be something in the Shreveport water that flushes away calories for me! That in itself was even more motivation to get right back into the swing of my workout routine this evening since I'm not having to un-do anything!
Today I'm wearing the grey cropped pants I got at H&M in Atlanta with a sweater Mom gave me last Christmas.
Pants: H&M, pulled the tag off this morning, but I can't remember what they cost. I think it was around 10 bucks, but I'll have to check my ATL post to see!
Sweater: Mom gift
Shoes: Rocket Dog, $34
Wow! The lighting in my office was worse than usual this morning.
A "falling" picture. These crack me up. Probably have to be here to appreciate my "dash to the spot" technique to beat the timer :)

Ok, so it is a gross day here. Rainy and muggy. Nothing like Christmas. But even that hasn't gotten me down because I'm heading home early tomorrow morning! Yay! I have everything packed-ish.... Still have so many little things to try to remember. Packing as much as I can tonight will be interesting. I am bringing way too much stuff but I don't really know what I'm going to need and I hate not having options!

One more day of work
After today, I'll work Thursday and then get as packed as possible and leave for S'port early Friday morning! Yay!
Today is quiet at work, just cleaning up loose ends before leaving for the break.
Tomorrow I'll probably wear warm-up pants. Today I'm wearing jeans with an old Navy fleece pullover. I had to make sure and wear some purple with it so as not to raise any suspicions that I'm an Alabama fan! :) Apparently when posing for pictures, this top also makes me look like I weigh 50 lbs more, so I'm only posting one picture of the outfit as none of the others were any good!!
Jeans: Buffalo, got them at a discount store many years ago
Fleece: Old Navy, $10; T-Shirt is also Old Navy
Shoes: Chinese Laundry, DSW, not sure what I paid (not much)
